Process Technicians monitor the refining process for the fuels, chemicals, and plastics that make modern society possible—everything from milk jugs to medical devices. They oversee the performance of plant equipment and process conditions, controlling pumps, compressors, and other plant equipment. They also operate control room instrumentation systems and collect samples of products for laboratory testing. Their primary objective is to ensure that plants are producing high quality products.
